01 A Decade-Long Industry Gathering Exploring the Future of Nucleic Acid Drugs
The 10th China (Tianjin) Nucleic Acid Drug Conference recently concluded successfully. As a benchmark industry event with ten years of influence in the small nucleic acid field, the conference focused on siRNA, ASO, LNP delivery systems, CMC quality control, and industrialization and commercialization. It brought together more than a thousand industry experts, researchers, and pharmaceutical R&D professionals to explore new paths for technical breakthroughs and commercialization in nucleic acid drugs.
With deep experience in China-developed high-end analytical instruments, Instrumax presented its self-developed CADetector a1 charged aerosol detector at the event. The product directly addresses quality-control pain points in small nucleic acid drug R&D and manufacturing, offering the industry a stable, compliant, and cost-effective full-process analytical solution developed in China.

02 Focusing on Industry Pain Points and Solving Quality-Control Bottlenecks
As China’s small nucleic acid sector grows rapidly, shortcomings in quality-control analysis are becoming a key bottleneck. Oligonucleotides and LNP lipid components have no UV absorption, making effective quantitation difficult with traditional UV detectors. Shortmer impurities and trace degradation products are hard to identify accurately, while conventional instruments often struggle with baseline stability and sensitivity for pharmacopoeial pg-level trace detection. At the same time, imported CAD systems involve high purchase costs, expensive maintenance, and delayed service, so the industry urgently needs a mature and reliable China-developed alternative.

03 A Robust China-Developed Solution Covering Small Nucleic Acid QC Scenarios
The CADetector a1 charged aerosol detector shown at the conference is based on patented, self-developed aerosol charging detection technology. It overcomes the limitations of traditional detection methods and does not require analytes to have UV absorption, making it suitable for full-chain analysis of small nucleic acid APIs, formulations, and LNP delivery systems.
The system can accurately determine siRNA and ASO purity and trace impurities, fully separate the four core lipid components of LNPs, and reach pg-level sensitivity with a wide linear range and excellent data reproducibility. It meets R&D testing and regulatory filing requirements, connects smoothly with mainstream HPLC and UPLC systems, reduces retrofit costs, simplifies routine maintenance, and provides a practical China-developed alternative to imported instruments.

04 In-Depth Industry-Academia Exchange to Improve Efficiency
During the exhibition, the Instrumax technical team held in-depth discussions with industry experts and R&D practitioners. For different scenarios such as fast project initiation by startups, production QC in pharmaceutical companies, and method development in university laboratories, the team provided one-on-one analytical solution guidance and shared mature, practical method cases to help customers shorten development cycles, reduce experimental costs, and accelerate regulatory submissions.

05 Deepening Specialized Applications and Continuing to Enable Innovation
The conference demonstrated Instrumax’s China-developed technical strength and long-term commitment to specialized application fields. Looking ahead, Instrumax will continue iterating its core CAD detection technology, expanding dedicated method libraries for small nucleic acids, liposomes, and peptide biopharmaceuticals, and advancing independent R&D and China-originated innovation. With reliable instrumentation, Instrumax aims to help improve the quality and efficiency of China’s small nucleic acid drug sector and support more innovative results on the path toward clinical use and commercialization.
