IM-Air Series Butterfly Air Vent Filters
Inquire and OrderIM-Air Series: Butterfly Air Vent Filters Inquire & Order IM-Air Series filters are compact sterile gas and air vent filters for filtration and ventilation applications. They use a hydrophobic PTFE membrane as the air-filtration medium and can be repeatedly autoclaved. They are suitable for sterile venting of small fermenters and media storage tanks, as well as low-flow pipeline air filtration or breather applications.
- The unique IM-Air design provides high flow and high safety. The filter membrane uses polypropylene mesh reinforcement, with pressure resistance up to 3 bar. The 20 cm² filtration area enables high throughput even at low differential pressure. At only 20 g, the filter will not bend the hose or obstruct ventilation. The tapered hose connector easily connects to tubing with an inner diameter of 6–12 mm. IM-Air provides reliable sterile venting for filling containers and fermentation bottles, including culture vessels and CO₂ incubators (6–120 L), distilled-water and liquid-media tanks, autoclave venting, in-line sterilization, and removal of particulates from air and gases. It is especially convenient for sterile venting of small fermenters.
- Incubator air intake and fermentation-system gas sterilization Hydrophobic PTFE membrane with excellent air permeability
- Broad connector compatibility and easy installation Applications: filling and transport containers, fermentation carboys, cell-culture laboratories, CO₂ incubators (60–120 L), storage tanks, pressure vessels, and microbiological reactors
