Recently, Instrumax's independently developed CADetector a1 charged aerosol detector (CAD) successfully completed installation, commissioning, and on-site training at the Chinese Academy of Quality and Inspection & Testing (CAQIT). The instrument is operating stably, with all performance indicators meeting expectations, providing a reliable detection platform for follow-up research testing and method development.
The Chinese Academy of Quality and Inspection & Testing is a central public-interest research institution directly affiliated with the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR). It has long undertaken important work in quality inspection and testing technology research, standard method research, risk monitoring, safety assessment, and inspection and testing capability building, and plays an influential role in China's quality inspection and testing sector.
During this installation, the Instrumax technical team completed instrument installation, system connection, parameter optimization, performance verification, and operation training in strict accordance with standard procedures. On-site testing showed that the CAD detector operated stably, with low baseline noise and excellent repeatability. It interfaced well with the liquid chromatography system and can meet research laboratories' application requirements for high-sensitivity, high-stability detection.
As a high-sensitivity universal detector, CAD (Charged Aerosol Detector) can detect the vast majority of non-volatile and semi-volatile compounds, regardless of whether the sample has UV absorbance. It offers broad application value in pharmaceutical analysis, natural products, food safety, chemical analysis, polymers, functional materials, and related fields. Compared with conventional UV detectors, CAD can effectively address the difficulty of detecting substances without UV absorption, providing more comprehensive data support for complex sample analysis.
Instrumax CAD uses proprietary core detection technology developed in-house. Key processes such as nebulization, evaporation, particle charging, and signal detection have been continuously optimized. With high sensitivity, a wide linear range, good repeatability, and stable long-term operation, the detector is compatible with mainstream HPLC, UHPLC, and SFC systems, providing high-performance China-made detection solutions for research institutes, university laboratories, and pharmaceutical companies.
The successful completion of installation and commissioning for the CAQIT project not only reflects the customer's recognition of Instrumax product performance and technical service capabilities, but also further validates the application value of high-end chromatographic detection equipment developed and manufactured in China within national-level research institutions. Looking ahead, Instrumax will continue to uphold independent innovation, steadily improve product performance and service quality, contribute more China-made technical strength to the development of analytical testing technologies in China, and help advance the localization of high-end scientific instruments in China to a new level.
